it was a first for me...being a parent along on a field trip for my daughter's preschool class. we traveled in a number of cars for about twenty minutes east to peshastin to smallwoods harvest fruit stand, which also has a petting zoo of farm animals and a nice grassy playground for the kids. it was a hoot to see a dozen or so youngsters running about feeding sliced carrots
to almost any kind of farm animal you could meet! there were goats,
llamas,
chickens, peacocks, ducks,
and rabbits, to name a few. with the typical changeable attention span of the age, it was great that there were tricycles and wagons to play on,
and even some "stationary" animals to ride!
what a fun time making memories.
